Don Benigo Perla
Origin: Costa Rica
Size: 4.20 X 40
Wrapper: Natural
From
Don Benigno Cigars:
The Don Benigo Perla is similar to the Montecristo No.
5, which is described as a pressed cigar that's very firm.
It has a superb draw. The smoke is tangy, meaty and leathery,
with a hint of almonds and a short finish.

Notes:
Yes it is true that the Montecristo #5 is very firm and
has a superb draw and that the smoke is tangy, meaty and
leathery, with a hint of almonds and a short finish. The
Don Benigo Perla however is none of those things.
The draw was fine and fortunately it did burn quickly,
making this shitty experience less miserable. The flavor
of this cigar if you want to call it flavor was bitter
and nasty. At first it had a really nice undertone of
balsa wood but that was quickly overpowered by the bitterness.
And at around $84.00 a box that makes them even more bitter.
My advice stay way these suck.
