Notes:
Carlos Torano has some of the best-made cigars on the
market. The Nicaragua Selection is wrapped in a silky,
dark brown Ecuadorian grown Sumatra wrapper. Quality of
construction was very good. The Nicaragua Selection are
square pressed cigars, and uses an all Nicaraguan filler
and binder blend. I fired it up, and waited for the traditional
"oomph" that is commonly found in Nicaraguan
cigars- it never came. Instead, this particular Nicaraguan
is uncommonly mild, almost bland. I had expected more
complexity; more depth of flavor. I must confess that
I was disappointed in this Nicaraguan Churchill. What
should have been an hour or so of cigar enjoyment was
marred by a bland, almost neutral tasting cigar. It's
not a bad cigar; and it drew well, and has a nice ash-
just didn't have the flavor or the depth that I was expecting.
