Notes:
This was a really well constructed cigar. With a very
big reputation. It was a gift and had been resting in
my humidor for almost five months.
When I first fired it up I thought it had a slightly
bitter taste and thought I was in for a big disappointment.
But after about two minutes the bitterness went away and
this cigar settled into a really good smoke. It was an
easy draw, that gave up tons of thick, rich smoke. As
I smoked it, it kind of reminded me of a lot of Cuban
cigars that I've had. They seem to start out rough and
then just keep getting better and better. That's exactly
what this torpedo did. By the time I reached the half
was point, I knew I was smoking a top notch cigar. Except
for the first few minutes, it was smooth as silk. It had
a good solid ash, burned even all the way down. I'd call
the flavor on the medium side of mild. It was not a strong
cigar, but it wasn't wimpy either. Overall a really satisfying
smoke.
