Notes:
When we were in little Havana last month, I bought three
Perdomo La Tradicion Vintage 1996 Torpedo Tubos in pink,
dildo-shaped tubes. These have a Maduro wrapper. The white
tubos are 1993 and rosado-wrapped. I already knew the
white ones were great. I just got back from a walk and
I smoked one of the 1996 maduros. WOW! It was rich and
flavorful, medium-bodied and not harsh at all. For those
of you that like to be knocked on your ass, this isn't
for you, but it was far from a bland, mild cigar. Burned
beautifully and the flavor was great from beginning to
end. The wrapper is beautiful with a light tooth to it.
I couldn't find a flaw in the cigar. In my opinion, it's
as good as a Padron Anniversario, actually better because
I'm not a fan of the Anniversario's maduro wrapper.
