Padron #3000
Origin: Nicaragua
Size: 5.50 X 52
Wrapper:Maduro
From
Famous:
Padron cigars are patiently handmade with carefully aged,
all Nicaraguan-grown tobaccos from Cuban seed. A classic
cigar whose outstanding quality defies its price. Renown
for their dark, oily wrappers and rich, medium-to-full
bodied blend, these perfectly balanced 'puros' teem with
complex flavor and aromas of coffee and cocoa beans. Their
consistency is attributed to being produced in limited
quantities, which keeps them at the peak of flavor.

Notes:
I am only new to cigar smoking
but I really enjoyed this cigar.
Great coffee flavours and a
nice sweetness to it from the
oily Maduro wrapper.
Although I did find the draw
terribly easy and as I am new
I believe I smoked it to fast
and it burned largely uneven,
but that is mostly my fault.
All up a great cigar with a
lovely sweetness.

Appearance & Construction (13 of 15)
This cigar has a beautiful chocolate brown Maduro wrapper
with a slight tooth. The construction if firm and even
with no soft spots. I am a fan of the simple Cubanesque
bands, and personally really like the Padron band. The
cap on this cigar does leave something to be desired.
Flavor (22 of 25)
This cigar has a strong cocoa flavor with hints of ground
black pepper. The smoke is very rich and creamy with the
Maduro wrapper adding a sweetness. It\'s not an extremely
complex cigar but has enough flavor variation to hold
your attention. I found the flavors to be very pronounced.
Smoking Characteristics (24 of 25)
This was one of the best smoking cigars I\'ve had in a
long time. The cigar lit easily and had a very lush draw,
without being loose, that produced large volumes of smoke.
The cigar burned cool and very even throughout and had
a bright marble-colored ash.
[Overall (32 of 35)
This is a very good cigar and the price makes it excellent.
The flavors are wonderful, the cigar smokes great and
it even looks nice too. This is easily my favorite Maduro
cigar and possibly my favorite cigar across the board.
I plan on ordering some more very soon.

CA
gave this cigar a rating of 90, so I went in full of expectations.
That's a similar score to those handed out for the Anniversarios
from the same manufacturer. They're worlds apart.
The cigar is medium bodied at best, and the first smoke
was a bit disappointing. Cigar construction is mediocre,
at best, and it's definitely a production cigar, meaning
look for lack of general consistency. The pull was loose,
and the first few pulls were flavorless (my expectation
may have overridden my senses at this point).
The cigar burned relatively evenly, a few points at which
I had to blow on one end to ensure even burn. The cigar
was flatter than what I expected.
Fast forward weeks later, spending time in my humidor,
and I smoked its sister from the pair I purchased. I smoked
it alongside a La Flor Dominicana Ligero L300, and took
drags. The Flor was full-strength and lacking a lot of
different flavors, but the Padron stood out, at this point,
and it possessed a milder body but with a lot greater
flavor. I'd say hints of citrus and anise, leathery, I'd
even wager.
Anyway, the cigar was great for flavors, but without
the strength to carry it, it'll always stand out as disappointment.
Added with the fact that it just plain looked horrible,
I'd say that it got a grade of B.
