Santa Rosa President
Origin: Honduras
Size: 8.50 X 49
Wrapper: Maduro
From TBS-Cigars:
Named after the city in which they were made, Santa Rosa
de Copan (in Honduras), these cigars have been enjoyed
since 1985. The wrapper is Connecticut-seed grown in Ecuador
and the binder and long filler tobaccos are from Honduras.
A very well made cigar with an easy draw!

Notes:
This is a great line with some of the most beautifully
constructed cigars I have ever seen. This particular one
was no exception. It was built solid as a rock. The wrapper
was jet black and smooth as silk. This was a huge cigar,
it was beefy in your hand and in your mouth. The pre-burn
aroma was that of licorice, deep and rich.
Once lit the cigar settled into a medium bodied full
flavored smoke. The draw was not quite as easy as most,
but it was not uncomfortable. The ash was an off white,
but good and solid. My one complaint with this cigar and
in fact most of the Santa Rosa's I've smoked it that they
seem to have a problem staying lit. I had to relit this
thing several times, and not because of extended periods
of neglect, it just did not want to burn. This became
annoying. So much so that on the sixth lit with about
a third left, I tossed it. It's really too bad because
as you might imagine, that really messed up what could
have been a totally satisfying smoke. Great logo though.
