La Rosa Especial
Mi Favorita
Origin: Honduras
Size: 4.75 X 52
Wrapper: EMS
From The White Ash
Cigar Company:
THE STRONGEST CIGAR ON EARTH ???
Warning: Don't let these little cherubs on the cigar band
fool you. If you are looking for a dense powerful smoke,
then the La Rosa Especial is for you. They are made with
a dark Lingero filler tobacco that really packs a whallop.
Extremely rich and full bodied. La Rosa Especial claims
itself to be the strongest cigar on earth. C'mon don't
be scared. See if you can smoke a box and live to tell
about it.

Notes:
I purchased several boxes of these while on sale from
JR's. I have been very pleased with them.
These cigars have a very rich dense smoke. The H2000
wrapper adds a touch of spiciness which I look for in
all my cigars. There is no bitter after-taste which many
claim to experience with this hybrid wrapper. This might
be due to the fact that my boxes were date stamped 12/02.
This extra box aging might also be the reason why I don't
experience the highly touted strength of these cigars.
I'm not being some hairy-chested-bwana man here, but these
cigars are no more than medium in strength. As such they
make an excellent after-work before dinner cigar.
I have no qualms about recommending them.

Notes:
This cigar was beautiful to look at, with a smooth wrapper
and it's
lightly box pressed shape. Construction, burn, and draw
were perfect. When I first lit the cigar, I thought it
was going to be great. A medium-bodied cigar with some
flavors of spice at the beginning gave way to a pretty
much bland cigar. The moderate spiciness lasted, but it
didn't have the flavor I was looking for.

This is my first LRCMF smoked. I have heard a lot about
this inexpensive smoke, and prices are pretty affordable.
Attractive band/white wrapped cigar. Very nice looking,
well made, and pleasing appearance.
This cigar was mild to medium strength, with lots of
smoke from an easy draw. Burn was OK to start, but got
ragged half way through, corrected itself, but finished
raggedly. Possibly this was from the travel from the Left
coast to Sunshine State. I thought it tasted pretty good,
I am not a CA reviewer with comments on "hints of",
if I like a smoke I just like it. I give this about an
8. I would buy this brand.

This is the second box of this brand that I have purchased.
The first was the Medalist and I really liked it. This
box has not been a disappointment either. Tons of smoke,
and a good strong flavor. The strongest cigar on earth
is hype. It is strong, but not even close the the strongest.
Suck on a Cuban Monte A if you want strong, or even a
#4 for that matter. Still this little robusto is a tasty
smoke indeed. Worth having in the collection for sure.
