JR Special Corona
# 2
Origin: Honduras
Size: 6.50 X 46
Wrapper: Colorado
From
JR Cigars:
The JR Special Corona was one of our flagship brands.
Handcrafted by Rolando Reyes, Sr., this cigar used to
sell like hotcakes in plain plastic bags - no boxes, no
bands, no nuthin' - just flavor! Regretfully, due to disputes
with the maker, we ceased production of this great cigar
in 1994. But all is well now and, with much enthusiasm,
we are once again able to offer this fantastic smoke.
Earthy, rich, full of flavor... it is like being in a
time machine! A "must try" cigar.

Notes:
The JR Special Corona is sold in an unusual "6 pack"
cellophane bundle by JR's. The price is $13 for 6 cigars
or about $2.15 per cigar. The #2 corona at 6.5 X 46 ring
gauge is slightly smaller in size than the usual double
corona size. The #2 wrapper is a reddish-brown "Colorado"
leaf from Ecuador. The wrapper quality is good; no defects
or blemishes noted. The binder is also Ecuadorian leaf
and the filler is a mix of Nic/D.R. leaf. The #2 corona
is a full-bodied but not overpowering complex smoke, with
an earthy taste of aged tobacco. Definitely not for the
rookie or beginner! It draws well and puts out a cloud
of gray smoke. If you like a full-bodied smoke at a reasonable
price, the JR Special Corona #2 is a good choice.
