CAO Brazilia Piranha
Origin: Honduras
Size: 4.50 X 46
Wrapper: Brazilian
From
Jr Cigars:
Introduced in 2001, the CAO Brazilia brand is a relatively
new edition to the cigar world. Created in a cooperative
effort between the Ozgener and Torano families, this blend
is a lively mixture of Nicaraguan ligeros and secos wrapped
in a dark, toothy Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.
Of particular note is the Piranha whose short, plump,
corona dimensions (4.50 x 46) make it quite a feisty little
smoke. Lovingly referred to as "the fish" by
its devotees, this is a spicy cigar with woodsy overtones,
a sweet cedar-like finish, and a unique floral aroma.
The Piranha is definitely a must-try cigar
NOTE: Most sites say these
cigars are from Honduras. A couple claim they are from
Nicaragua. I'm going with the majority and listing it
as a Honduran. Don't bother checking the CAO
site, they give up less information than Bill Clinton
in front of a Grand Jury.

Notes:
Enjoyable mellow smoke, medium strength and well made.
Very easy draw, maybe too easy, though I bought this and
smoked it immediately, so perhaps it was a bit dry.
Lovely dark glossy wrapper. Unusual flavours in this
one but not unpleasant. It seemed to go quite quickly
but it wasn't a hot
smoke. A little bit too expensive, but I'd probably buy
it again.
Made a nice change. Has an enormous band.
