Sherpa is a collaboration between the Carlos Torano and
his cigar-making and blending talents, and K. Hansotia
of Gurkha cigars. The meticulous construction and superior
tobaccos that comprise the new Sherpa brand attest to
its quality. Draped in dark, attractive Brazilian wrappers
that are practicallly oozing with oils, covering a wonderful
blend of select long-leaf Cuban-seed Dominican and Nicaraguan
fillers. Densely packed and slow burning, Sherpa is a
smooth, toasty cigar offering a medley of subtle flavors
of cedar and nuts, complementing its medium-bodied flavor
and pleasant aroma.

Notes:
This cigar was constructed very full and lightly veined.
It held a nice ash and burned fairly slow and even. This
cigar is offered in a natural and a maduro wrap with a
filler mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco. The natural
was the one I selected to try. It has a nice aroma and
taste on the toasty side with some spice and leather,
but it leaves a burning of the throat as if it needs further
aging or the tobacco was not completely aged properly.
It had to be rested quite often. If you have time to store
it maybe better in six months.
