From
Serious Cigars:
Partagas Black Label cigars were created by
Daniel Nunez for smokers who enjoy a rich full-bodied
cigar with a larger ring gauge. Like all Partagas
cigars, they share a distinguished tradition
of uncompromising quality and craftsmanship.
In the past decade, Nunez has perfected the
Medio Tiempo wrapper and the La Vega Especial
binder. Both innovations contribute to the
distinct and rewarding flavor of Partagas Black
Label cigars.
Since its Cuban seed leaves remain in the
fertile fields of the Connecticut River Valley
50% longer than most harvested leaves, the
Medio Tiempo ("half time") wrapper
is richer, heavier, and darker, boasting a
flavorful, woody taste. The Dominican sun-grown
La Vega Especial binder, blended with Nicaraguan
Ligero and Piloto Cubano Ligero filler leaves,
enhances the cigar's big bold taste.

Notes:
Excellent construction, good aroma, even burn
with nice ash. Woody/earthy taste with a slight
nutty undertone. Very nice smoke, starts nice
and finishes strong. Full flavored.

Notes:
This is one killer smoke! It's strong from
the tip of the foot until the very end of the
cap, and that's how far down I smoked this
baby. This cigar just flat out kicks ass. The
guy that comes around my corporate offices
on Fridays to wash and detail cars gave it
to me. He's this really cool older black guy.
I was talking to him about getting my truck
detailed and he says "Do you like cigars?"
Of course I go off on the whole web site, Village
Idiot thing, and he says, "Here try this,
you might like it" And he hands me the
Partagas. I nearly had another heart attack!
I'm telling ya if you like a cigar that's full
of character and flavor then you've gotta try
one of these.
