Havana
Classico Torpedo
Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 7.0 x 54
Wrapper: Connecticut Natural
Reviewed by: MrChef
Date: September 1998
Notes:
I stole several boxes of these from SJI Tobacco,
now out of business. They were selling for
upwards of $169.00 a box. I think I paid around
$20.00. I also picked up a few boxes of the
Robustos and the Robusto Largos. All three
have been great smokes. But the Torpedo is
the king by far. Full of thick smoke with a
nice medium flavor. Smooth burn, with a solid
white ash. This stick burns for over an hour.
And they came in the coolest felt lined box
with an engraved gold metal nameplate.
Update January 2004
I just smoked my last one of these, and it
was as good as it had ever been. I will miss
these cigars.
