Notes:
Already a fan of the original mild-medium strength of
the original Griffin line, to have a go at a stronger
blend is certainly very interesting.
The cigar size is more of a "hermosos" than
a "robusto" encased in a beautiful Connecticut
wrapper is definitely an outstanding looking cigar coupled
on an already elegant looking band.
I did not detect any flaw physically and through the
pinch test the cigar is a good mix of firm and spongy.
Nice.
Firing it up was fairly easy, the first draw was slightly
loose but eventually it matures into a great firm draw.
Initial taste was smooth and mild like the original,
with 1/3 out the smoke was getting a little harsh on the
throat and it went the same way throughout.
I suspect the blender used the same set of tobacco as
the original line and blended some strong Nicaraguan in
it to give some strength.
Other than the harshness this is not a bad cigar, not
once it tasted bitter though I'll stick to the original
and would go to a different brand if I want a strong cigar.
