Fittipaldi is a collaboration between racing
legend Emerson Fittipaldi and cigar master
Augusto Reyes. The Vintage Maduro Box-Pressed
series offers a double fermented 1996 crop
year Brazilian Maduro wrapper that´s
dark black and silky smooth - reminiscent of
the Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series Maduros.
This sun cured, box-pressed beauty offers a
sweet and smooth taste with a chocolaty touch.
A highly recommended smoke for maduro lovers.

Notes:
I like cigars with really, really, really,
really, really long names;
this cigar is called the: Fittipaldi 1996 Vintage
Box Pressed Toro Maduro that's 4 1/2"
on my 19" monitor...cool!
This cigar is very well made, it has a good
solid construction. The wrapper is jet black,
oily and smooth. The pre-light smell was sweet
and strong. The easy draw gave up lots of smoke.
The burn was slow and even, lasting almost
45 minutes. The ash was solid and white.
The cigar had that classic spicy maduro flavor,
yet it was very smooth. I smoked one of these
with my brother, and we both kept commenting
on how smooth it was. It was really a trip
because I can't remember smoking a cigar as
smooth as this one. The smoke just slide across
my mouth, filling it with a rich tobacco flavor.
And now the weird part, when it got down to
the last 1 3/4" it turned nasty bitter.
If I've got a good cigar I like to smoke it
down to the nub. I thought this one was headed
in that direction. Unfortunately, the last
leg of this baby just went bad. It was really
quite strange considering how smooth it had
been up until that point. I'm not sure what
to make of it all. Cool band though.
