Santa Damiana Corona
Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 5.50 X 42
Wrapper: Natural
From
JR Cigars:
Santa Damiana is a traditional mild-to-medium Dominican
blend with a blonde Connecticut Shade wrapper. It is very
well made and has the classic mild and mellow flavors
smokers expect from premium Dominican cigar.

Notes:
Popular in the UK they aren't the most expensive cigars
but are more expensive than most non-Cuban cigars and
they're quite hard to get as singles.
The wrapper was flawless the cap was smooth and the construction
looked extremely good.
The wrappers are pale and quite dry looking. It smelt
quite good and lit easily. The draw was pretty easy and
it tasted quite mild but a little grassy - but improved
as the ash built up. The ash dropped at about 2"
and I got another dose of grass, which quickly disappeared.
Despite the mild taste it proved to run all the way from
light to fairly full bodied. Creamy with lots of smoke
I got a surprisingly big nicotine hit in the last third.
Smoked it down to about an inch. My tongue tingled (pleasantly)
but it started to get very hot with each draw so I finished
it. Actually it was a pretty long smoke - about an hour.
Enjoyable but nothing special. Recommended if you get
them cheap enough but to my mind they are too expensive.
