Cusano Corojo '97 Toro
Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 6.00 X 50
Wrapper: Equadador Corojo
Cusano
Cigars:
This dark and spicy corojo has
a smooth, silky texture and
a perfect cap. It has a fine
toasty aroma. Flavors are great
from the start, smacking of
wood and leather. It's steady
and rich, leading to a smooth,
cedary finish. Body is medium
to full. The spicy Mexican Sumatra
binder compliments the 1997
wrapper's sharp flavor and results
in an incredibly flavorful,
spicy cigar.

Notes:
This
was my first cigar. Not the
first one I smoked, but rather
the cigar that turned me into
a cigar nut. I can still picture
very clearly the night I first
smoked one. My oldest daughter
sat outside with me and laughed
as I continuously said, "Wow,
this is a killer cigar. No,
really, it is." Whenever
I feel I derserve it, this is
my go-to cigar.
This is a spicy yet smooth
smoke. The spicy Sumatra binder
blends perfectly with the bite
of the Corojo wrapper. There
are many underlying flavors,
while "creamy" doesn't
fit, maybe vanilla or something
else does. The burn is always
perfect, forming a long ash.
Aroma (gets its own section).
This is what really sets this
cigar apart. It's deep and sensuous.
The only thing I can equate
it to is a beautiful woman on
a hot summer's night. Overkill?
Nope. Try one and see for yourself.
