Arturo
Fuente Hemingway Short Story
Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 4.0 X 48
Wrapper: Cameroon
From
CigarsDirect.com:
Superb quality Dominican tobacco
contained in a savory Dominican
binder which has been nested
inside a choice flavor-filled
Cameroon or Maduro wrapper are
at the heart of each superbly
constructed Arturo Fuente Hemingway
cigar. Created by master blender
Carlos Fuente, Jr., the much
celebrated Hemingway line is
considered by many the finest
non-Cuban smokes ever rolled.

Now I've had a few of these
since I wrote the first review
five years ago. So I thought
now would be a good time to
post an update on my experiences.
I guess one of the reasons I've
not updated this review is because
nothing ever changes with this
cigar. It's just plain great.
I've probably smoked about a
dozen of these since 2002 and
have never been dissappointed.
This one I got from CigarsDirect.com
but no matter where they have
come from these are as consistent
as they can be.
Great draw, smooth burn, a
little stronger than medium
and a rich full flavor. Again
my only complaint is that these
things only last about 20 minutes.
Once you finish one of these
the only thing you're gonna
want is another one.
BTW this one happened to have
a natural wrapper but I've smoked
a few of the Maduros as well
with the only difference being
the Maduros have a touch of
sweetness to them.

Notes:
It really is hard to go wrong with a Fuente
product, although no one is perfect, these
guys come damn close. The Hemingway Short Story
was no exception. A short fat little cigar,
it is tapered at both ends.
The cigar produced lots of fine rich smoke,
the flavor was on the stronger side of medium,
but it was so smooth that it seemed milder
than it was. And although this is a small cigar
it never burned hot. It lasted about 20 minutes,
that is my only complaint, I could have used
an hour.
