Cuban Best Cigars:
Created in 1840 by Juan Valle, this line takes its name
from the popular character of Punch so widely seen in
English puppetry in the 19th century. Today's lithographed
boxes still show the comically-dressed Punch enjoying
a cigar while his faithful pet stands by, questioning
why he is wearing a rainbow-coloured collar. Punch is
famous for introducing the world to the half corona size,
the Punch "Punch" model being the object of
affection by many devoted followers. This full flavoured
brand was made by Corujo y Cia. after 1859 and prior to
nationalization, was owned by F. Palicio y Cia. Punch
cigars are mild to medium-bodied with a slight tangy flavour.

Notes:
A gift from the head of the Sestak Family of Dana Point.
And a rather impressive one at that. When measured it
I was surprised to find this cigar to be only 7.50 inches.
Not that that is small but it seemed so much bigger when
I had it in my hand. (Keep it clean here)
The construction was flawless, the wrapper smooth and
tight. The pre burn aroma was that of fresh plowed sweet
dirt. The stick burned straight and even from start to
finish. For such a big stick the draw was surprisingly
good right from the start. As it hit the half way point
it did start to give up a lot more smoke but it was never
thin. The smoke itself was thick and rich. Not exactly
creamy but on the heavy side none the less. This cigar
produced a solid white ash that reached almost two inches
effortlessly. I did not notice that the flavors changed
all that much from start to finish. In fact I noticed
how consistent the flavor remained throughout the whole
experience, nothing real fancy, just pure tobacco flavor.
The smoke lasted the better part of 90 minutes. It was
by far one of the best Cuba cigars I have ever smoked.
Not as strong as most but surely just as satisfying.
