Jose L Piedra Conservas
Origin: Cuba

Cigars:
Jose Piedra cigars make no pretence at being anything
more than they actually are - an everyday Cuban smoke
at a good price, they have been around for many years
- since 1880 when the Piedra family, emigrantes of Asturias
in Northern Spain, first began producing them in the Vuelta
Arriba region of Cuba.

Notes:
If you're looking for Cuban that is inexpensive this
is it.
IMO the Conservas is the best of the Jose L Piedra line.
These are well-made cigars; the draw is usually a very
good - a little tighter than easy. They have a full taste
with a certain earthy sharpness (poetic eh!).
They can become even sharper in the last third but so
can a lot of smaller cigars - some of them a lot more
expensive than this one. Usually though I'd say they become
more potent, richer rather than bitter.
On the whole these are better than average cigars at
a low price.
