Jose L Piedra Cazadore
Origin: Cuba
Size: 6.00 X 43
Wrapper: Natural
Pablamos
Cigars:
Jose Piedra cigars make no pretence at being anything
more than they actually are - an everyday Cuban smoke
at a good price, they have been around for many years
- since 1880 when the Piedra family, emigrantes of Asturias
in Northern Spain, first began producing them in the Vuelta
Arriba region of Cuba.

Notes:
I bought a bundle of 25 of these. They've been enjoyable
but not really special.
Construction is a cosmetically a little rough and the
wrappers are usually heavily veined but the cigars are
well made. I'm not sure if these are handmade or machine
made. I'd guess that if they were machine made they'd
be more consistent.
Generally the draw is a little tight, they're about a
medium strength (sometimes a bundle will be medium to
full strength). They do have a good flavour but the smoke
is a little thin. The ash is speckled and quite flaky
it'll usually stay put for about an inch and a half.
Problems:
A couple have been plugged & 1 fell to bits, another
burned down the centre leaving the wrapper intact for
about an inch! So that undermines the value for money.
I'd buy them again if I got a good deal, they're a big
smoke for little cost, (they last me around 50 min - 1hr)
get a good bundle and your in for a treat.
Just for the record I think the "Conservas"
is the best in the brand it seems stronger and better
made to me, but it's not easy to find locally (Belfast
UK).
