Partagas Corona
Origin: Cuba
Size: 5.25 X 42
Wrapper: Natural
From
Pablamos Cigars:
Flor de T. Partagas cigars have been a staple diet of
Habanos lovers ever since the beginning of time. Well,
maybe not quite the beginning of time, but with an inauguration
date of 1845, Flor de T. Partagas cigars are amongst the
oldest and best known of the Habanos brands. The cigar
and the famous factory in which it is still made take
their name from Don Jaime Partagas, a Spaniard from Catalunya
who emigrated to Cuba and opened a small factory in La
Habana in 1827.

Notes:
A round well made cigar with
no blemishes on any of the wrappers.
Cigars of this size in Cuba
are usually either totally machine
made or made with the filler
bunched with a machine and the
rest finished by hand. This
cigar falls into the latter
category. They are relatively
inexpensive at about $4 a stick
and represent one of the best
buys for Havanas. Unlit, the
cigar has a nice leathery aroma
about it. When lit the first
puffs greet you with a full
bodied and full aroma smoke.
Most Hondurans or Nicaraguans,
that advertise themselves to
be Cuban like, begin full and
then either the flavor profile
falls completely flat or they
get harsh and unsmokeable. Not
so with this one. It maintains
its full flavor for some time
before evening out. It never
becomes flat in flavor, but
rather changes its profile.
About 2/3\'s of the way down
the strength kicks back up and
remains full bodied to the end.
This is a cigar that you can
smoke to the nub. I have smoked
an entire box and have yet to
find one that was plugged or
had any draw issues. If you
like a reasonably priced full
bodied, spicy cigar from Cuba
then check these out.
