Cuban Best Cigars:
As famous a brand as there is in the world of cigars,
the H. Upmann brand dates back to 1844, when Herman Upmann,
a German banker, began using specially imprinted boxes
of cigars as promotional items for his banking firm. The
combination proved successful, so the H. Upmann brand
was born and continues to this day. The success of this
brand was buoyed by the award of seven gold medals in
seven international exhibitions between 1862 and 1893;
these awards still adorn the lithographed interior of
the box today. Available in a stunning range of almost
two hundred different handmade and machine-made sizes
and shapes, the brand offers a mild to medium strength
with a smooth flavour.

Notes:
I'm sure I have written these words elsewhere on this site
but: Not all Cuban cigars are good cigars. This particular
cigar was very impressive to look at. Great construction,
very solid, smooth wrapper, no blemishes. It burned slow
and even. The draw was just OK, not bad but it was not giving
up tons of smoke. The flavor in my opinion though was rather
flat. It was on the mild side of medium, and very one dimensional.
This was no Monte #2 by any means. It burned for an hour,
and when it was all over I was left quite under whelmed.
This cigar had been down for over a year, so it had had
plenty of time. They are not cheap, I would not buy another
one.
