Cohiba Siglo III

Pablamo Cigars:
This Habano from Cohiba's Siglo line seems, at first,
to be in no man's land, partly because it is a format
that looks as if it was being abandoned by the traditional
brands. But, at he same time, it is a size that perfectly
relates to the new-generation Habanos. If you are a smoker
of this format, the Siglo III is one of the best, but
if you smoke the traditional Cohiba sizes, you will find
it too smooth.

Notes:
Appearance & Construction - 14/15
If you're going to spend the money to buy REAL Cuban Cohibas,
you're going to expect perfection in a cigar. This cigar
lived up to the expectation. The Cuban wrapper looked
great, slightly toothy and a deep chocolate brown. Cohiba's
famous triple cap is nice as well. A great looking cigar,
nice firm feel.
Flavor - 24/25
I don't think I've ever smoked a "perfect" cigar
but this was damn close. This cigar is very full bodied
and strong to boot. Lots of complex flavor including espresso
and chocolate. Nice and spicy, just as you'd expect from
a Cuban. Full bodied, Medium-Full strength.
Smoking Characteristics - 23/25
The cigar lit easily and burned very even. It had a nice
lush draw (unusually so for a cigar of its size) that
produced volumes of smoke.
Overall Impression - 33/35
What can I say, this cigar was truly a smoking experience.
I am a huge fan of Cohiba and this is one of my favorites.
If you're looking for a classic Cuban (full bodied and
strong) that will leave you spinning, this is it. If they
were cheaper, I'd buy every cigar they make.
Overall Score - 94
If you enjoy the Siglo III, I'd also recommend the Cohiba
Robusto, another Cuban great.
